St Philip’s has recently signed up to the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS) which is the best way for people to make regular bank donations to our church. Payments are made by direct debit, and if your payments are eligible for gift aid, that is claimed automatically for us and paid directly into the church bank account. Sign up is by phone – there is no need to visit the bank or use online banking.
Please consider this option as an alternative to the way you currently give, as it is a free service to the church and will be a very convenient way of giving to St Philip’s. The income received by the church will help to pay for the utility bills, insurance and care of the building, and for the clergy who minister not only to the church community but to all the people of the parish. If you are interested in giving to St Philip’s using the Parish Giving Scheme, just ring the dedicated phone line: 0333 002 1271
One of the administrators will take you through the sign-up process, which normally takes around 15 minutes. You will need to have the following information to hand:
- Personal bank account details
- The name of the church you wish to donate to [WEBHEATH ST PHILIP]
- The PGS code for the church [420642166]
- Confirm whether you want to increase your gift in line with inflation each year
- Confirm if you are eligible for Gift Aid
What happens next?
You will receive written confirmation (by email or post) of your Direct Debit, including details of the parish you are supporting, the amount of your gift and the date of your donation.
Please note that if you currently give to the church via standing order, you are advised to wait until receiving the confirmation letter from Parish Giving Scheme (PGS) before attempting to cancel the standing order.
What if you need to change your donation?
