Community Centre

The community centre is now complete, and in use for church and community bookings. The community centre provides a meeting space, office, and kitchen facilities, as well as much needed toilet facilities.

Our facility is available all year round; it does not close for school holidays and offers a meeting place for the local neighbourhood.  The mothers and toddlers group hold a session every Thursday which is very well attended. Open Church days with coffee afternoons are currently held once every month and the church is open to all on a daily basis.  Slimming World run regular sessions in the annex.

With continued housing development, the local population of Webheath is rapidly expanding and there is now a greater need to provide a community resource to accommodate various groups and organisations. Of importance is the desire to help the more isolated members of our local area by providing a welcoming space for socialising and events.    Around 2012 the interior of the Church was re-ordered to provide a flexible space that can be cleared and used for exhibitions, concerts, general meetings and group activities.  Unfortunately, with only one portaloo in the car park, the Church did not have the essential amenities of internal toilets, baby change and disabled access and facilities or a kitchen.  Over the past two years we have constructed an annex to the community centre which provides all of the above together with a separate private meeting space.
